It goes on really smooth, blends nicely and doesn’t go patchy so that’s a win already. I do struggle to find a bronzer that would fit my skin tone perfectly, but I feel like this one really is the best match. What I like the most about it – it is not orange at all. Most of them had quite a lot of glitter in but the one I settled in the end was a matte bronzing powder in the shade “Matte Bronze”. It does take you a while to actually go trough and find the products you like for the collection, as there are so many of them, I, in the end, picked two items – a matte bronzer and a really interesting multi use highlighter.įirstly my eye was caught by the bronzer selection. And even the finishes – you can find fully matte products, some super-glittery products and some with a more metallic finish. The shade range is really wide and colourful, catering nude tone lovers and those who prefer bright shades instead.
The packaging is one of the most beautiful ones I’ve recently seen, immediately making me think of summer. Getting back to the collection itself, it really is filled with products, shades and finishes that are fitting right in with the festival season. However, it has made me be more aware about what message my favourite makeup brand is trying to spread and do I fully stand by it.
I definitely don’t support that but in this case I see it more as a company trying to capture and represent a particular shade range that would reflect more the festival season vibe. It can’t be left unsaid, that this particular collection has been surrounded with fair amount of controversy about cultural appropriation. Being the MAC cosmetics junkie I am, whenever the company brings out a new limited edition collection, I have to get my hands on a couple of the items from it.
